Circo de Albert Dock
It was a quiet, chilled atmosphere away from the chaos of the Christmas city shoppers at Circo on Sunday afternoon. A perfect location to celebrate the old birds birthday. The polar bear at the bottom of the staircase was my favourite feature, I wanted to take him home with me.
The cab ride home was very festive.

It's coming around again
I can't believe how fast its come around again. What a year! Lots of travelling, catching up with old buddies, meeting some great new people, heart aches, heart attacks, all of the above.
I'm listening to the Sufjan Stevens Christmas album to get into the Christmas mood. You can download some of the songs here:

Capital 'F'
The Christmas party was in Manchester this year which was a great location. It was held at the Great John Street Hotel which was very posh. I stayed in a room there and didn't want to leave. The day after was really sunny so I walked through town and did some shopping. Found this capital 'F' building which was just one of the more interesting pieces of architecture in the city.
One of my colleagues at the party was wearing a great shirt. It was a collection of romance novel book spines and on the cuffs was a full cover. It was pretty amazing.

Fancy footwork
I have to admit that I was worried about how the Liverpool One development would work out. From what I have seen up to now I am more than impressed. The overall design of the area is very beautiful but there are also little gems like the walkway from Q park with its futuristic angles of light. Also, the circular shaped elevators and stairway access from the underground parking which has a strong impression of the Guggenheim in New York.
